The themes and mood every children’s book should incorporate

If you ever are thinking about creating the perfect images fitting for a children’s book, you need to be able to understand what the mind of a child is like. Children go more for color and illustrations that they do the actual text. For a successful children’s book you should consult an agency for children’s books illustrators; if you’re not artistically inclined. When the illustrations are on point and comprehendible to the mindset of a kid, the text will automatically appear more engaging. When writing and drawing for a kid’s book you have to preserve a consistent tone.

I’m having a hard time figuring out what this has to do with RAGBRAI. Enlighten us?

Since the Great Schism there’s no one around to shoo the spammers away.

“How the Grinch Stole Ragbrai” would be a good children’s book.

“So…
be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray
or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O’Shea,
You’re off the Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So…get on your way!”

It should be obvious at this point that the Grinch Didn’t Steal RAGBRAI. RAGBRAI died of neglect. They can’t even be bothered to find a ride director. Meanwhile, the clock keeps ticking. The overnight towns need time to prepare. The Register isn’t exactly inspiring confidence.

The Ragbrai route overnight towns are announced in January. Potential overnight towns indicate their interest in hosting but are informed like everyone else in January.

Most of these town have hosted in the past so it is just a matter of dusting off the plans from the last visit and adjusting for the current route in and outbound.

Just because Ragbrai does not have an announced director does not mean work is not proceeding. Their registration opens November 15th.

TJ had at least 14 months advance planning and as of today still does not even have a commitment from Iowa State Patrol. He promised a route in November and, while still early in the month. It’s the IR folks that are on the bubble.

One thing of interest I noticed on the Iowa’s Ride FAQ section was the statement on the date selection “that date may change in the future” indicates the door is open to selecting another date. I did not notice this language before.

FAQs
Why the dates July 19-25, 2020?
At least for the first year, IOWA’S RIDE will take place on July 19-25, that week could change in the future.
