Time to play the Webster City entertainment guessing game

They give a fair amount of hints as to who their entertainment might be even though it hasn’t been officially announced (and how much it costs to put on a night of entertainment).

My quick google searching leaves me with a guess of “3 Dog Night.” Anyone else come up with something different based on the stats?

If you don’t want to follow the link:

Olson said the committee had worked closely with USA Entertainment Agency to locate a headliner.

“We’ve agreed on a headlining band, but no contract has been signed,” she said.

Olson said the band was a classic 1970s rock band with four original members.

“The band has 21 Top-40 hits, three No. 1 singles, and 11 Top-10 hits,” she said.

Mama told me not to come, but Eli’s coming. I’ve never been to Spain, but I’ve been out in the country, and sure as I’m sitting here the show must go on. It’s easy to be hard, but try a little tenderness and celebrate with Joy to the world.

Man… I hope I hope I hope….

It may not yet be in black and white, but just because one is a lonely number and I’m not a liar I’ll try to join the family of man and help you drink your wine.

I’ve heard that Jeremiah was a bullfrog. What do you think of that?

That would be just too cool for all of us children and teens of the 70’s!!! Don’t want to get my hopes up to high, but I did pull out my Three Dog Night Greatest Hits CD to ride indoors to.

I might point out that Aerosmith also had 21 top 40 hits AND has all the original members….But maybe the toys in my attic are all broken.
But methinks it unlikely that BOTH Aerosmith and Three Dog Night would be playing Webster City on July 24th.

I wonder if my bong still works! I’ll have to get in the attic and dust off 30 years of dust … I’ll never go back there but I must say ……

I thought 3 dog night had three members, not 4. But i was going to guess some over the hill rock group that hadn’t sniffed at a hit in 30 years. That said, they were one of my favorites 40 years ago.

Personally, I’m far more excited about 3 Dog Night and LRB than Counting Crows!
