The Great Iowa Fall Ride registration is open!

Updated Site!

Looks good but I have to re-adjust and figure out a few new things. Keeps me young!

I’d suggest lining up a few volunteer testers to test out new versions of the RAGBRAI website before deploying future versions to public consumption.

Looks great on my phone. Thanks AP!

I think we can trust Andrea, no need to have volunteers do a trial run on new websites, this isn’t life and death!

Yeah, I think RAGBRAI is more important than life and death too but still, just be patient, it will get there. Besides, who cares, we’re all going to Iowa in July!!

Reading (unsuccessfully) between the lines again. No, of course its (RAGBRAI or the software) not life or death and I did not even remotely imply it was. An extra set of testers (eyes) is always a good idea on new software. Actually advocating for more not less patience. Patience before doing the release.

I think once the Bugs are worked out the new site will be awesome. I like the new look

Looks really nice but still some bugs crawling around in there. Threads posted to as recent as 5 days ago are still showing up as though they were last posted to 2+ months ago.

I like the new look to the site. The old one was looking “dated” if you will so a refresh is nice.
I’ve mentioned it before on the forum, but having links with maps, miles, ect of past RAGBRAI’s would be nice. GeoBike was great but I understand correctly that was a 3rd party.

I love the look of the new site. Just hoping to get the same route maps as in the past to print out. The new map version is great because it shows what roads we are on, but may be difficult for printing purposes.

This new site is nice and fresh! I do have one tiny problem The gray color of the fonts is a tad too light for my old eyes!! LOL
Maybe hex #a1a1a1 instead of #b1b1b1?

Sorry a little geek talk!

Please none of that, Amanda! Some of us hardware guys at work spent part of yesterday afternoon peering at a digital scope screen, trying to decode what was going on in an SPI bus by hand because even the software guy we managed to corral couldn’t figure out how to make it do that for us. We did it but that is all the work of the devil!!

I agree! But it’s what I do for now – build websites.

The Princess desires a darker font…….make it so.

Princess Amanda,

“So let it be written, so let it be done.” ~ Pharoah Ramses II in The Ten Commandments

Is this any better? It sure helps my old eyes ‘cause I ain’t no spring chicken anymore either!

The trick is to use the “bold” feature when writing your post. Until the tech wizards at DMR make a permanent adjustment, this will have to do.

See you along the I-O-Way in July.
