"Vintage Bike" riders?

Anyone doing RAGBRAI on a “vintage bike” this year? I saw a couple of old Schwinn single-speeds and of course the two Penny Farthings last year.

I’m riding a 1951 Raleigh Tourist with a 3-speed Sturmey Archer hub and wearing period correct clothing, ie. no lycra. Also hoping it’s a little cooler this year

does a 1984 Peugout 12 speed ultralite count as vintage?

You betcha Christine–let’s just say any bike over 25 years old qualifies for Vintage status.

should I get the KHS off the trainer and back on the road then? Do like the lugged steel frame but the bio-pace chainring…that and 12 speeds, thought that was a hugh step up from just a 10 speed at the time.

I’ll be riding for the first time on my 86 Trek Elance 300. My sister wants me to take her Trek 1100, but I really like the look and feel of my steel vintage.

I’m tempted to take my 1990 Bridgestone RB-1 this year.
