RAGBRAI LI Registration is Now Open!

Waivers being processed?

Have they started processing the waivers for 2011 yet?   I sent mine in on the first day and have been checking the registration web site every over week.  Haven’t seen the box checked yet.  Just wondering.

216 days to go!!!!!

Same here, waiver sent but the website does not acknowledge.  I’m not concerned, sure it has to take a long time!

I belive that all of waivers will be processed ONLY after the lottery drawings are complete (deadline for applications are in the early spring each year.)  They will draw names (probably electronically) and if you’re “in” you will be notified by e-mail…if not, you’ll probably be notified as well and you’ll get a refund of your money.  So, we’ve got a few months to go before that process is completed.  Sorry!!!

In the past the waivers have been processed prior to the lottery.

My bad…HFotti and Mich.  I didn’t read otti’s question very well and after rereading it this time  I don’t really know what to say about the timing of the processing of the “waivers (specifically).  You can be sure, however, that they will review your entire application information before you’re even entered into the lottery for the eventual drawing.  Anyway, otti, you won’t know if your “application” has been approved and you’re “in” (a.k.a. when you’re “in” you will receive your acceptance package for RAGBRAI with such items as name tag for your baggage and identification bands for your wrist and your bike; a booklet about the ride in general and the specific route for the year and other details) until about May 1, and that information will come to you by e-mail  and/or snail mail.  If you’re riding with a club your acceptance package will probably be sent to the clulb’s RAGBRAI coordinator then you get it from that person.  It’s a long wait to be sure, but be assured it will be worth the anxiety that goes along with it!!!  Now,  I hope this is the right information…I haven’t registered yet for this year so there may be an additonal question about the waiver that  I haven’t seen yet.  In the meantime, keep those knees a’churnin’.

I haven’t got my Christmas vacation approved yet and you’re already worrying about something that’s months away?  Try back after New Year’s when people start working again.

We plan to start processing the waivers after the New Year.    You will receive an email once your waiver has been processed.

Thanks for the patience!

TJ has a dartboard shaped like Iowa in his garage.  In September he lets his kids throw darts at the board and the towns closest to where the darts stick are the overnights for  the next year.  Very simple, none of that driving the route twice before hand in winter weather and the boss at the DMR thinks TJ and Wes are out driving the route and coordinating the RAGBRAI committees .  Greenie did this for years, same dartboard, and no one knew any different.

TJ doesn’t have a dart board. He calls me up on the Royal phone and asks me where the route should go! I’m waiting for his call any day now . . .

If we were going were those darts landed with my kids throwing, we would have ventured into Nebraska or Missouri by now!
