We all need a good laugh!

With all of the gloomy and depressing news, statistics, and general BS floating around the Twitterverse, it’s about time we do something to lift up our spirits.

I’d like to hear your favorite biking-related jokes.

Since this isn’t a barroom and I can’t throw out the first drunk, I’ll throw out the first joke (compliments of Granddaughter Woo):

Why do some bikes have kickstands? Because they are too tired to stand up by themselves (rim shot!).

Ouch! Let’s hear your best (or worst) jokes.

See you along the I-O-Way next whenever.

Tandem rider funny. Not really a joke, but kinda funny. I finally gave in and decided to ride a tandem with a sig/ot. Learned the lingo and technique of the tandem experience.

I was told that the correct terms are: Captain, and Stoker.

It took only one ride to realize that if one is riding with a wife, girl friend, or most likely any female, and the Captain is male…. The correct terminology is

Captain And REAR ADMIRAL.

I still ride the thing, you may have seen me on RAGBRAI… I ride it solo….now

A hard-core bicyclist broke down on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere on a hot, humid summer afternoon. A farmer, driving a beat-up old rust-bucket clunker of a pickup truck, stopped and asked, “Do you need a lift? Need some water? Anything I can do to help?”

The biker looked at the truck and at the farmer and replied, “No thanks. But if you wait a few minutes while I fix my bike, I’ll give you a 10-minute head start towards the next town!” 🤪 (rim shot)

BTW, I’ll be biking in Amish country this week. Since there is poor internet and cell service there (!), I’m off the air for a while.

“Bicycle Bill”, October 13, 2020 at 6:41 pm

I was out riding with a friend (while maintaining social distance, of course) when we came to a rise in the road. Suddenly my friend turned around and asked, “Did you say something?”

I said, “No, I didn’t. Why?”

She said, “All of a sudden I heard a voice saying, ‘shift down, shift down,’ and I thought it was you.”

I told her, “No, it wasn’t me. I think it was the bicycle spoke.”
