Is it my imagination, or has it been really breezy this spring in eastern IA?

ben, you have permission to complain. Snow in May should be declared illegal.

This has been an awful spring in Iowa.  It has been windy and cold, and I have very few training miles in.  This is about the time I start to get nervous about it.

Weather down here in Kentucky has been wet too!  I’ve had to resort to riding in the rain, just like riding from Waterloo to Manchester last year!

The weather turned nice in Wenatchee, WA  in the 80’s and finally NO RAIN.  The last two weeks I only rode one time (15 mi);  the nice weather got me motivated today and I did 40 miles.  Today I have accumulated 900 miles on my bike.  I started riding in March. I  have only completed one 50 mile ride and I’m registered to do a 70 mile ride.  I hope I’ll be in shape…. I’m a baby-boomer.  I don’t plan to get up to 175 mi in one week.

Weather finally turned to summer here in W. Colorado, has been cold and wet and windy. Temp today was 91 and sunny, in the spirit of the insection rides i did 65 miles with my panniers loaded. Felt good to get out for that many miles.

In comparison to most of you folks, south Texas has been wonderful. I will not complain about the 100+ temperatures. Hope to have a bit over 6,000 miles by the Start of RAGBRAI. HOOAAA!!
