80 days away…
yep, in again for 37th time, 80 days away you say, if I average only 10 miles a day that’s another 800 miles before the ride.
My goal is 100 a week. I try to get a couple long rides bunched up.
hoping for some nice dry weekends to get in more. Ped Jam Mo is coming up this month, so there are a couple 30 mile beers.. days.
Just found out I’m in for 2019! First time for me.
see you at ped jam
I am looking forward to meeting you all.
My sister and I are in for the first time and riding with cousins from Omaha. Can’t wait!
Congratulations to all of the lottery winners. This should be a great day of celebration and excitement.
Normally, I would be right there celebrating too. However, due to A Series of Unfortunate Events (with apologies to Lemony Snicket), I am unable to join the Ragbrai Rolling Mardi Gras this year.
If the good Lord’s willing and the creeks don’t rise (again), “I shall return!” (thank you, General MacArthur) in 2020.
In the meantime, I shall continue to follow this forum and contribute my wit (?) and wisdom (??) as appropriate.
Mrs Woo and I wish you good weather, cool temperatures, low humidity and tailwinds.
I’ll see you along the I-O-Way in July 2020.
Sorry to hear T. Gap Woo. Sometimes life just gets in the way of doing the things we enjoy. I’ve had to miss years as well but it only makes the ride that much better when you return.
question. where exactly in council bluff is where all this is happening, like the expo, the starting line, etc.
All the overnight towns will have maps on their websites eventually. As for a starting line, I’ve never seen one. You’re on your own. Just follow the bikes, you won’t need a map or any directions.
There is no official starting line. We always start from wherever we are camped.
The reason I asked the questions is because I am arriving on Friday the 19th and I need a place to camp, for two nights. Ragbrai said you can camp there.. but where.. does anyone know the street name where the expo is?
Council Bluffs will post that information on their RAGBRAI website/Facebook page when they have it ready to go. So monitor the Council Bluffs website/Facebook page and you’ll see it there eventually.
