RAGBRAI LI Route Announced on Jan. 27!

What would you like to see more of on RAGBRAI that seems to be missing?

Personally, I’d like to see more fresh fruit and veggies on RAGBRAI. Also some more beverage selections: homemade root beer, ginger ale, that sort of thing for us nondrinkers in the crowd.

What would you like to see?

I keep reading that the Hispanic population of Iowa is increasing each year, so come on – start up a few booths and sell some Bohemia. Best beer in the world. Yep – in the world. Then cook up a little Tex-Mex and I’ll be set!

Probably find quite a lot in Marshalltown. Cafe de Klos, Czech?

No – Bohemia beer is brewed in Monterey, Mexico. It tastes like a more mellow Negro Modello. But I’m always up for good Czech food. I grew up in a small farm town where everyone was either Czech, German, Hispanic or Black. You could buy beer there at almost any age and the food was superb. As they say, “I gotch yo kolache.”
