Yes, I'm the jerk that will remove posts that are ridiculous

Stick to posts that are relevant about RAGBRAI.. do not bash other people, do not bash towns or our volunteer hosts,,, if you have a relevant comment or criticism that is fine… we happen to love our state and our riders. so if you want to be a troll, go somewhere else.

Yes, thank you TJ for tending so thoughtfully to the forum. With all your other responsibilities you shouldn’t have to also babysit here, so giving the deleted poster the benefit of the doubt, here are a few alternative versions of their question.
“I have never left my car parked for a week in a town I am unfamiliar with, and I am concerned. What should I do and who do I contact in the town so I can know it is secure and I can enjoy my ride.”
Or,”Does the end town have some kind of secure parking for those of us who want to leave our vehicle there?”
Or,”I have heard that Keokuk is the most southern town in Iowa. Is that true?”
Just a few ideas. Anyone have any more?

Can you remove individual posts in a thread, say if they introduce a political theme (to put it nicely) or make some comment to the extent of “You must be a …. ? If so, that would be great.

thanks TJ. Excluding Iowa hills, can’t imagine anyone saying anything negative about Ragbrai.

But to be able to enjoy a fun down hill ride, you must go uphill! So no negativity about hills from me!

to tj, first of all you know nothing about me. it was not my intentions to bash iowa or its ending town of keokuk. I do realize that keokuk is laying out the red carpet for ragbrai and it’s riders. but when i travel , i try to be as safe as i can. i travel alone and i have a few valubles like a computer and cds and stuff. i travel out west to work each summer so these things are with me. i do not want my car messed with. you certinly understand this don’t you. i did my home work on this town of keokuk.

it was not good. but i feel almolst certin the whole town is not like this. but sometimes these so called parking areas are in bad parts of towns and left unsecured for the most part. i have done rides like this in the past. there is always a thief lerking around like parking lots like these . so yes i am concerned. the post got outta hand. and one othet thing this gut jon wright posted a rude comment on my post about doing meth in front of the police station. so wha dont you delete his post on my topic
thanks tj

Seriously dude you’re completely ruining an otherwise very helpful and friendly discussion forum. Stop bringing up meth and Keokuk again and again and repeating the same thing over and over. You keep repeating yourself. If you aren’t being a troll, how would anyone know the difference? Stop ruining this place for everyone else. Just move on to something else.
