Guess the Route Contest is Now Open!
- 30 November, 2011
Do you think you can pick the eight overnight towns for RAGBRAI® XL? Enter the contest and see how close you come. For the past two years, 6 of 8 towns was the best that anyone could do!
Whoever correctly chooses the most overnight towns in order will receive a certificate worth $100 of RAGBRAI merchandise. The second place winner will receive a certificate worth $80 of merchandise, and a third place winner will receive a certificate worth $60 of merchandise. Certificates must be redeemed by July 28, 2012.
Only three winners will be chosen. If several people correctly guess the same number of overnight towns, the winning entries will be drawn randomly from among all the contestants who have correctly guessed the highest number of overnight towns.
No purchase is necessary to enter, and please only one entry per person.
All entries must be received by January 20, 2012.

Akron, Sheldon, Laurens, Clarion, Mason City, Waverly, Fayette, McGregor. Some long shots there, but I think the ride needs to stay north. The NE corner has been very neglected, and it is a beautiful part of the state. Good luck to everyone!

Northwest by Southeast… I’d love to ride corner to corner, Sioux Center, Cherokee, Rockwell City, Story City, Marshalltown, Pella, Fairfield and Fort Madison. Plus these great towns are over due!
Isn’t 2012 a southern route?
I did 2008 and 2010. Back for 2012. Like to see a hilly southern route. Shenandoah, Corning, Mt Ayr, Murray, Cordyn, Albia, Keosauqua, Keokuk.
I am hoping for a more flat Northern route this year that is family friendly to my kids!
Souix Center-Spencer-Algora-Popejoy-Charles City-Waterloo-West Union-Dubuque. This way the politicians will have to drive North to join in. We get to visit the big and small. Great family route. Fast. Goes along with Return to Dubuque.

WOW! It appears that the old Kernel won the contest. I had the start town correct and Webster City via Popejoy is just a few corn fields away. I am so excited to win. I am going to tell my MOORE-ON friends. Great route. Souix Center is a great place to start. Hello Ken and Barbie! I will be waiting at my typewriter for the big email from RAGBRAI National. I am so excited. …oh no..chest pains.
