Have a Slice to Celebrate National Pie Day!

Although everyday on RAGBRAI is Pie Day, Saturday is National Pie Day.  So have a slice, or two, and just think that it is only 6 months until RAGBRAI!

The USA Today ran an article today on the 10 great places to have a slice on National Pie Day.  Of course, an Iowa locale would have to be included in any respectable Pie list.  The Coffee Cup Cafe in Sully, Iowa was listed in the top 10 greatest places to enjoy a slice.

Sully was a pass-through town on RAGBRAI XXXIV in 2006, that served up the Coconut Cream pie.   For those that don’t remember Sully, here is a photo that appeared in the Register to jar your memory.

Lance Armstrong stopped for some pie (coconut cream) Thursday at the Coffee Cup Cafe in Sully.  Armstrong is riding the full day of RAGBRAI.
