Iowa Bicycle Coalition Hosting World Tire Changing Championship and Mini-Bike Sprints at RAGBRAI Expo

Are you fast at changing tires?  Come to the RAGBRAI Expo and test your speed.  The Iowa Bicycle Coalition will be hosting the second annual World Tire Changing Championship on July 23 in Glenwood, Iowa at the RAGBRAI Expo.  

Last year, Rick Paulos captured the crown with a record time of just over 1 minute.  But competitors have been honing their skills in anticipation of the upcoming event.  The final round begins at 5 PM.  

In addition, the Iowa Bicycle Coalition will be hosting mini-bike sprint races.  Mini bikes are pedal bikes that fit adults, but have 15 cm frames with 4″ wheels.  The competition will be fierce.  

Equipment sponsor for the 2011 World Tire Changing Championships is Trek and Bontrager.  The event is hosted by the Iowa Bicycle Coalition.
