2012 was my first year of Ragbrai, HOT, HOT, HOT and I still came back. This is year 5. IF I can survive 2012 being new and naïve, I think this year will be just fine. Iowa weather can change instantly. Just make sure to stay hydrated and find shade.

I have a small solar power charger. It works great and at Ragbrai there is always plenty of sun. It will keep my phone charged. I also take an extra power pack to have just in case. Plastic bags. I pack my clothes into plastic bags so my clothes don’t get wet. I also add a dryer sheet to each bag, so when I pull my clothes out each morning it smell fresh.
