I’m an avid rider from SW FLA. Have ridden the last four years.

i’ve joined a team (red dog).
Robert, Last year i went with PBV and met some Fla guys from the west Palm/Boca area, they had some gator type of jerseys. Was that you guys?
I’ll look for the desert gators on the ride.

I rode my first whole week of ragbrai last year. Went up there solo. Chartered with PBV.
It seemed that if your were not on a team or with friends, that a lot of time your were doing things by yourself. At least that was my experience. Mind you I’m not one to just go up to a bunch of people and act like I’m part of their group. So if your…[Read more]

Just rode the tour de cape yesterday. metric century. It appears from your ride locations that we kind of ride in the same area. I usually ride at night, the working thing still gets in the way of biking. Weekends i head up on old burnt store area. I know quite a few of the local riders and post rides on strava.

I’m also from Cape Coral. Did my first full ragbrai last year. I’m thinking about attempting again this year. Are you guys with a team? I found out last year from the social side, that it’s probably better to be involved with a team. Last year I drove, made a couple stops on the way. First time rider signed up with Pork Belly Charters.
It’s been a long time since i’ve slept in a tent and basically on the ground. And the fact that i’m planning on doing this for 7 days in a row leaves me a little anxious. I’m the type that considers roughing it involves a 3 star hotel.

normally after a ride i will upload my ride through garmin connect via my laptop computer. not planning on taking a laptop with me. is there a way to upload my rides during ragbrai? i have a garmin 500, which doesn’t have bluetooth
