I just upgraded the bottom bracket on my bike. The bearings were shot! Of course it is much smoother than the other one but it should be. Not much of a gain though. If you are changing the gears, or the crank arm length than you might see a difference but not just the bottom bracket.
in 2016 I did one day of the ride, about 50 miles. Before that ride, the longest I had spent on a bike at any time was 3 miles. So I did 50 miles with no training, on a mountain bike, with knobby tires, bought from Wal-Mart. Last year I did the whole thing with 300 miles on the seat. So, if you hit 1000 miles, you should do great!

I switched seats and spent many miles adjusting and now the problem is gone.
I knew this was a controversial conversation when I started it. For those of you that made valid points on why I and others should wear helmets, thanks. For those of you that have had accidents or friends or loved one, sorry, that must have been hard. For those of you who said it is my decision, thank you for allowing me the freedom to make my…[Read more]
Can someone tell me where the rule section is? I have scoured this web site and can’t fine where it says that a helmet is required. Found several including the video that say recommended but not required. I do know that Iowa doesn’t have a helmet law.
