I live in Omaha and am planning on riding to the route on Sunday with my sister. If you are riders to cross the river, let me know. I am not a transplant or spina bifida though.
I would like to see him do the entire week vs 3-4 days.
Sorry my passes have found new homes.
This will be my second & my sister’s first RAGBRAI. I couldn’t have asked for a better route for this year. I have a lot of family on this route, so lots of beds and showers. Also, I get to celebrate my father’s birthday on the 24th with him. I had an awesome experiance last year and left years of “I CAN’T” along the side of last years route. I have been questioning if I wanted to do RAGBRAI again this year, but after seeing the route it is a no brainer. Now I just have to wait until RAGBRAI finally arrives.
I commute everyday to work and am not organized enough to plan outfits ahead of time. Therefore, I carry my clothes on my back everyday. I have converted camelbak bladder into the backpack also. I have ridden this way even on the hottest days. I am now so used to using a backpack that the few times I go without, it feels weird. It is easier to get a drink out of my backpack also. As for sweat spots the sweat rolling into my eyes is more annoying then the sweat spot on my back.
I live in Ralston, NE and would love to join an Omaha team.
I am also from Omaha and lost my support (brother’s bike stolen) and in laws not willing to drive across IA for me. I am pretty seff sufficient, but am needing help getting a ride to the start and back from the finish. Any ideas would be helpful.Thank you
This is a bike ride, not a race or competition. I am planning on doing RAGBRAI for the first time in 2012. I have fought being over weight and not motivated to spend time in the gym. I started commuting to work and enjoyed it. RAGBRAI for me is a confirmation of how far I’ve come. It will be people like you that will totally ruin the experience I am hoping to enjoy during RAGBRAI. As you flash past me due to your hours in the gym and thousands of miles, please remember we are all planning on having different experiences during this event.
Ok, I’m an extreme noob, as I plan on my first RAGBRAI in 2012. I am trying my first Brooks saddle and love it a lot.
