We are an eclectic mix of riders from all around the U.S. Some of us party most of the night and part of the day and others ride early and hang with the best of them. We have diverse backgrounds and every year it is a fun and interesting week for all. Plan on partying and riding at your own pace, although experiencing RAGBRAI outside your comfort zone may not always be a bad thing. Be open to meeting new people, take pictures to show everybody back home how crazy you are to ride your bike across Iowa and embellish tales of fun. Always remember to never assume what your ride will be like on any given day. If, after this year you decided not to ride with us again, we always like to be the example of the people your parents (or friends) warned you about; if you come back, more power to you. We take care of our own.
We have an RV and Coco, who has 18 years support and has cared for us for 5 years, usually meets us in the meeting (or alternative) town. There may be room to sleep in the RV. We have several home stays, which are the absolute best part of RAGBRAI.
Funds include everything except what you buy on your own. Last year, we had 11 riders and could have used three or four more.
We have a complete transparency policy about where all the funds go to and Coco keeps track of all transactions. The only person who gets paid is Coco–That is it! nobody else. I can tell you the break down before the ride and she can give you the break down after all has been settled.
Sixteen years driving support for two different teams. I am also a planner. Try not to overthink. You will be amazed at the hospitality and generosity that you will encounter. Embrace the adventure if you can.
Oh Chris honey, bless your heart. You and the kids are in for a wonderful adventure.
I will be glad to share any info that might help.
They will be able to go pretty much anywhere.

You don’t really need a vehicle pass. I’ve driven for 16 years, sometimes with, sometimes without. We mostly bought one to support RAGBRAI. Don’t sweat it.

You probably know that when you can’t talk, text messages will often go through.
I am a driver with seven years experience.
My team stopped going two years ago but I miss it.
Still looking?
