I will spend 4-5 days on the Cowboy Trail in northern Nebraska. It is a beautiful and very lightly used 200+ mile bike trail with towns spaced about 20 miles apart.

It will be cancelled. The current world infection rate is as follows: 100,000 – 67 days, 200,000 – 11 days, 300,000 – 4 days, 400,000 – 2 days, 500,000 – 1 day. We do not have the leadership to stop the same from happening here.

I will not be riding this year. As trknight stated, this would be the “perfect storm”. Even if the current virus is stopped by May or June (which I doubt), the second wave will start in July-Septmber.

If you really think you need to take all that stuff, don’t forget your meds. Or maybe you are already off them. I also go self supported. My bike, plus gear weighs about 31 lbs. Guessing you are at about 80 lbs.

Thoreau, some people are more self centered than the rest of us. They want what they want, and right now. Ignore them and find the best in all of RAGBRAI. It’s all about the journey.

Does anyone know if transportation is available from the Omaha airport to Orange City for 5 people? Or is there an Omaha team with extra space for transport? Their gear and bikes will be sagged ahead of them to Orange City.
