RAGBRAI XLIX registration is now open!
Thanks anyway, Sarah.
Hi again. Could you please let me know if my previous description of my watch matches the watch you found? Not sure exactly where you found it. I don’t think Shelton was a town on this year’s route. I’m very anxious to get it back, so please let me know. Thank you!

There must be an administrator that can deal with this creep.
I know the owner of the “carbo hut” vending stand that travels along the route all week! They are a family of vegetarians and vegans themselves and you can trust that their ingredients are as fresh as possible. Look for them on the route!
Because I remember being a very young kid in the early 90’s when RAGBRAI came through my hometown of Anamosa and being in awe of it all! The cyclists, their clothing, their machines, how the community became electric in anticipation as we all prepared for the event, and getting to help my parents work the food stand serving freshly made corn on the cob to all those hungry people! I made sure to get out my fixed gear machine and pedal around town acting like I was part of the ride! I rode my first RAGBRAI several years later when I was 9, and have ridden 6 times since. I plan to make it a regular summer event now that I’m old enough to make plans on my own! This is my first year to take my wife (of 1 year now) on the entire week long ride! I’m so excited to create a new tradition and new memories!
My first RAGBRAI, when I was 9 years old, I vividly remember sharing a Tender Tom’s Turkey Leg with my dad! What a great memory! Thanks for your service Tom, and thanks for being SOOOOOO tender! ;)
We will be carrying head and rear lights just in case we end up riding before daylight or after dark since it’s now a law in the state of Iowa that anyone riding a bike in the dark must have these. http://www.iowadot.gov/bicycle/437.pdf
Found a team. Thanks everyone!
Hi Walter, and thanks for the post! I am also curious about the group demographics. How large is the team? How experienced? What is the age of the riders? We are 24/25 yrs. old, but we get along well with people of all ages. I have ridden RAGBRAI several times (only done the whole week once). My wife and I are still looking for a group, and if you have spots left we may be interested! Any additional info is appreciated. Thanks!
