Glen, I’m with you…Undecided. This if my first time riding Ragbrai as well. I’ve been looking at them all and can’t make up my mind. Bubba’s looks like a good choice as well. What can people tell us if a charter doesn’t have showers where do you go for that? I love the idea of having that close as well as having a tent and blow up mattress…[Read more]

Thanks everyone. Lots of great tips…keeping me busy in my research:) Has anyone heard of the Tomasso line of bikes? Also, I used to ride on 25c tires. Is there much of a difference to go to 28C? More comfortable ride? Effect your pace much?
Great tips and thank you. Yes, geometry and as comfortable I can get a bike is important to me. I won’t be breaking any speed records. Just enjoy the ride, meet great folks and create memories is the goal. I like your tip for the fatter tires and I will definitely check that out as well.
So what is the difference between joining a team or a group? What does a team do? I might be interested but just need more details. Oh, this is my 60th birthday year and wanted a good physical thing to do. Did the Big Ride for my 40th. Any insight is welcomed.
Prescott Valley, I was thinking of driving until I saw how far it was. Will be more than likely flying. Just not sure about transporting the bike that way. Yea, my son’s 16th bday is on the 25th and trying to figure out getting back for that.
I was thinking of driving to Ragbrai and wondered if there are any charters that will take riders back to the starting town after the ride is done. I’m coming from AZ and would prefer to just drive to the starting town. Any thoughts out there? Thanks!!
