I’m not local, but I can tell you about the last time Ragbrai went to Lansing. I took the Great River Road into Lansing before the ride started last time. On the way out of town, I took Highway 9 to Waukon.
The problem with this is that isn’t the official route. The route might have changed after the inspection route and they haven’t told anyone. The official daily route maps also have the shut down times which are important to people as well.
It is honor one of the founding members. If you don’t want to do the century, then you don’t have to do Ragbrai this year. It is a choice you do have. Ragbrai gave 6 months notice that they were going to do this. That is plenty of time to train for it.
I don’t think Indianola should do the leg work on this since they are not the starting town or ending town. There are not too many people that would need long term parking in the overnight towns.
