On the north side of town, several motels in the area. However their is a big parking lot that a lot of locals use to meet. Not lit up at night, but haven’t heard of any problems from there. Could ask motels, or then, there is everyone’s favorite Wal-Mart, on hiway 34 heading west, which will be the hiway you will be taking, if not going up to I-80.
Non RAGBRAI question for the forum. I recently purchased a new carbon fiber bike. Was told by dealer that I wouldn’t be able to use the carrier that was on my car, as it would potentially damage bike and wouldn’t be covered by warranty. Looking at logo,noticed that there is a dot on each letter of RAGBRAI,except for the B which has two. Could that be the route? Just have to figure out cities. My guess is that it will be southern route this year. Finishing at Keokuk or Ft.Madison.
