I hate to knit-pick but I think this is a terrible idea but to each his/her own. Visit the overnight towns/square. Meet and talk to the locals – Iowans are super friendly. Have a church dinner. Enjoy the entertainment and support the vendors. Knit not, weave the yarn at home. :)

I found the following message – maybe the shop has not opened back up after the ride:
RAGBRAI Shop is closed
The Web Store will be closed starting July 5, 2022 until after the ride. Stop by and see us on the ride at the Expo in Sergeant Bluff, every overnight town and in the meeting towns along the route!

While the flashing of the lights is debatable, the colors are fairly standard across the state laws I could find and are as follows: red are rear facing, white are front facing, and yellow are for rear, front, and side facing. This applies to reflectors also.
