Terra, where are you coming from? I am driving my truck with bike and gear from Milwaukee, Wi on that Tuesday and will be glad to pick you up if you are on the way for me. Where is the Quad City area? Denton
Also, I have noticed that after the “week passes” are mailed there are a lot of passes for sell on the secondary market…that is where people sell their passes because it turns out they can’t do the ride but they have passes. I suggest that if you don’t get a “week pass” you watch the secondary market for passes. I have noticed that they are…[Read more]
Because I cant ride the whole week (time commitments) I signed up for “days”. Last year I signed up for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I got my wrist band in plenty of time. Last year I joined the ride on Wednesday in Charles City and left my truck there. I had prearranged to meet a group at the end of the ride going my way back to Charles City. They were going further northwest. I met up with them and for $50 they dropped me off as they went through Charles City. Worked great!

So, post a note that you need a ride and someone will answer. You have plenty of…[Read more]

I also had a good sleeping mat that worked very good. I only carried one set of biking shorts and jersey but wash them out each night, and that worked out great. Last year I camped with a…[Read more]
