Anyone get theirs or know when they will be shipped out. I got the confirmation email but nothing as to when it will be sent. I am moving next week and there is no contact info on the website or the email for updating this info.
I have done 9 Ragbrai’s so far and I have never locked my bike on the route, I sometimes lock it in the campground overnight. Bike theft on ragbrai appears to be a rare occurrence, and usually done in overnight towns.
or ragbrai 2010 In Manchester where 1 month prior the town was under water. I remember walking through town talking to the locals and they would point out the waterlines on buildings. The recoverability and tenacity of iowa towns is always intriguing and I hope the best for them all.
OK, not to be become the evil person this year on the net, but why is this really a big issue. If it was a pest animal would people be as upset. I love my cat but there is a difference between my littly kitty that curls up on my lap and ferel cats causing problems in the community. I remember that hill and rumbles, I hit those at full speed also it was a non-event. We actually were meeting friends about 1/4 of mile beyond that dogleg and had a great view of the people panicking at the non-event. The accidents happen by swerving to avoid them.
If you wait a while somebody will post their copy of the maps with the turns in it on one of the plentiful mapping apps. You can import those. Now there were many times I wanted to yell out “Hold Your Line Sommers”…[Read more]
I also think people confuse a loud “on your left” with anger somehow. When you are trying to give ample warning to someone so they have time to safely move over you need to be loud.
Out of Curiosity when did the quote “ON YOUR LEFT” change from Hold your line we are passing on your left to you need to move over to…[Read more]
