I understand that. Heres another one… if they require the riders to get a test then what about the food vendors, merch vendors, the local people in the pass through/overnight towns, staff, etc. What would be the point of requiring it from riders but not from everyone else? Sounds like a huge headache than what its worth…
I think requiring a covid test would be a logistics nightmare. Thinking out loud here… but all the people who have registered… did it say anything about requiring a covid test when they registered? If it doesn’t say it now or when you register, how can Ragbrai go back and change the terms of what you registered for and require it? Lots of…[Read more]
Thanks for the info. I see where it says March 15th. I also see where they call it “this years race”. Which 1) it’s not a race and 2) There’s one month left in the year, so I doubt it’s held this year but hopefully it’s held in 2021 or next year.
Was curious if anyone has ordered anything from the online Ragbrai store recently? If so, how long did you have to wait before your items arrived? Anyone have any issues? I had a question about ordering and sent an email. Two weeks later and I’m still waiting for a response. Hoping they don’t treat the online orders the same way?

Droplets from someone who has covid are going to travel further and to other people. Also, covid needs to be well under…[Read more]
I dont see Ragbrai happening as of right now. I do see a lot more smaller rides popping up in its place throughout next summer. I say smaller as in maybe a max of 500 people. Im keeping my fingers crossed Ragbrai happens. Even if Ragbrai does happen next year I think we are still 2 or 3 years away from Ragbrai being what we know and love.
I thought about doing that. But since I havent had to fly with the bike yet I havent really checked into it. Was going to check in about 11 months. But that makes sense to deflate them to a low psi and just inflate them once I get to camp/ragbrai.
I have a Trek Domane SL6. The past 6 weeks Ive had probably 8 to 10 flats. I live in AZ and everything is dried out so lots of little thorns out there causing small puncture hole flats. I decided to try tubeless tires 2 weeks and so far I love it. The piece of mind of not having to worry about changing a tube on the side of the road for a small…[Read more]
