For years I’ve thought about getting a chain tattoo on the inside of my right calf!! There’s a “temporary” chain marking there half the year anyway. I’m liking some of the ideas I see but will still put it inside the right calf!

I rode solo my 4th and 5th RAGBRAI. My husband rides with me now on a tandem. I’ve always used the RAGBRAI baggage truck so I didn’t even have team mates. The only time I was really alone was sleeping at night. There are always people to talk to while riding, stopped in towns and at the over night stops. I hope you are with a charter considering what all you plan to bring. This will be my 11th ride. I have cut down enough over the years to now be able to bring some luxury items such as a battery fan to hang in the tent, lightweight chairs and a lightweight shade for our campsite. I’ve ridden eight years, always with the baggage truck. I pay to register so I’ve never felt the need to be on a team. Two of the years I rode solo. There are always people to help you out if needed or just for company. The baggage truck works great, but make sure your bag will stand out in a pile. I guess I don’t know what you mean by “bagging”. Are you referring to self-contained or using the RAGBRAI baggage truck?
