For what it’s worth, on March 30th Andrea answered my e-mail inquiry regarding registration numbers and the chance of getting in. Here’s what she said: “Registration numbers are pretty strong this year but your chances of being selected in the lottery are very good.”
I’m taking that as a glass half full answer.
Hi Ken – you are correct of course for the looser fitting masks. It depends greatly on the type of mask. When wearing a certified N95 (but not the N95 that construction workers use that has the vent in the middle that is used for exhales), at least for me, if properly fitted the gases go out through the mask and do not fog up my glasses.
I’ll be riding my trusty 1973 Motobecane Grand Jubilee. Most components replaced over the years but the derailleurs are original Huret Jubilee. They are still as fantastic as they were new. Huret produced them to celebrate their 50th year as a company so I look forward to a couple years from now riding it in the 50th RAGBRAI, Lord willing.
