As the weeks get nearer to RAGBRAI there will be way more wristbands for sale than there will be buyers. Last year we were lucky to sell my wife’s unused wristband and her vehicle pass for full price but the pass prices were going down by the day. Everyone will have the chance to have a pass. Just remember to get it reregistered into your own…[Read more]

It would be nice if these forums returned to their title, RAGBRAI forums. I used to enjoy logging in at the end of the day to check on what everyone says. In the past most posters generally stayed with the subject “RAGBRAI”. It returned to civility for 5-6 days when BSUfootball decided not to be involved any longer. Actually I thought he might…[Read more]

FSU,
First I want to compliment you on your ability to ride 30 miles in one day. It is important to have fitness as part of your regular routine. But I do want to remind you that after your whole winter of unemployment and training down south it does fail to “impress” us. Last year my gps mileage for the RAGBRAI week was 504 miles which…[Read more]

FSU,
Just wondering, since this is your thread. Are you all registered and paid up for RAGBRAI this year? The deadline to register is closed now. Are you riding self-contained, using a charter service, coming with your own team, using the trailer option? I assume you are planning on leaving ten days early and biking across S. D. to meet up…[Read more]

In all my time with RAGBRAI I have never before seen someone stand up and say “I am a Veteran, so you must respect me”.
I suggest that this year that you ask to ride with the Air Force Team. That may be humbling. Of course they have to take you because YOU are a veteran.

After observing all FSU’s numerous posts I think I have finally figure it out. He spends winter in Georgia (his mom has custody then) and summers in South Dakota (his dad has custody then). He actually does ride his bike a lot (because he isn’t old enough for a drivers license yet). Junior high kids love to prank every one. He comes across as…[Read more]

Yes you did miss out on quite a lot. Over several days FSU started multiple threads or jumped on every other thread and talked up quite a lifestyle. For in interesting read follow all of the threads over the past 4-5 days. The replies on this thread were actually replies to all of his “idiocracy” which I feel most readers will agree.
But I…[Read more]
