You’re on to it, Sandaltan. We shouldn’t underestimate the numbers of people (other than chambers of commerce) that don’t want to see RAGBRAI in their town, and that was long before all this virus stuff. I once remarked about the lack of scenery around Iowa to my father-in-law. He responded very succinctly: “There’s beauty there if you look.” He has since gone on to heaven. My first ragbrai was this past season, and boy was he right.

Hi – if you guys can score me a Tuesday Winterset -> Indy day pass, I’ll take both of you to the airport Wednesday morning. My van is older and 5 kids have been hard on it so it’s not exactly luxurious – but it will get us there.
