I am looking to get to Council Bluffs from Memphis, either Friday or Saturday (7/19 or 20). Share a rental car? Cost is about $140 + gas. I am one person + bike and gear. Looks like a 10+-hour drive, doable on Saturday, leaving early.

Why not get wide, fast road tires for your gravel bike? I go with Schwalbe G-One speed, great on the road and handled the gravel section beautifully. (I do not have a true road bike).
