My plan is to ride both weeks, but two factors play into that: HS softball teams success and healing of my shoulder (surgery 1/9, surgeon told me I would be cleared for any and all activity 6 months after which puts me at 7/9. Whew!).
As of now I’m planning on doing both! I’ve registered for Iowa’s Ride and the rest of my team has opted to do RAGBRAI (year 15 for us as a team). Was planning on bagging out to the start of RAGBRAI this year anyway, so I guess I’ll extend my trip. :-).

Simply, whichever one you are most comfortable on. I have ridden several RAGBRAIs on a hybrid (2 of which were all southern routes) and several on a road bike. I think more importantly is how comfy are your seat (recommend a Brooks saddle) and your hands. You have 3 contact points with the bike–make them the most comfortable you can!
13 years as a team and we still don’t have jerseys. We might be small, but I’m going to make it happen for 2018. Now, what companies are good to deal with and which ones should I avoid? (I prefer not to use Primal).
I am Catholic, but attended one of the Reformed churches Sunday services when Orange City was a pass through town a few years back. Love starting my week off that way and the community was so friendly and inviting!
