I posted a question on the Sergeant Bluff RAGBRAI Facebook page to see if they’ll be posting a recommended route to the Missouri for the tire dipping. If and when they answer, I’ll post their response.
Hi Beerbronco! Also from Denver and looking forward to RAGBRAI in July! Most vendors will accept cash and many accept CCs as well. If you want to buy pie or food from local churches and organizations, they usually want cash. My advice would be to bring some cash with you everyday along with you CC. I usually pack about $40-60 per day. Hope that helps!
If you are camping, bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer. By the morning, the kybos (porta-potty if you haven’t heard that RAGBRAI term) will usually be empty of those things. I also take an inflatable pillow. It’s not as comfortable as a regular pillow but it is small and easy to pack/carry.
Hi All, I’m posting my current packing list for Ragbrai to help anyone curious on what to bring along. I know the list seems long but it’s really not bad. Matt also has a pretty good list so perhaps he can also post his suggestions. Comments/criticisms welcome! :-)
