Any idea if they’re going to open up more tickets for the live stream?

My Enmotive registration doesn’t show up on my Ragbrai account either.
Tim TenClay replied to the topic Rain gear in the forum Miscellaneous 2 years, 3 months ago
I would say: get as small and as lightweight of a raincoat as you can afford.
On Ragbrai, it isn’t about keeping yourself dry. It’s about keeping warm in the rain. If it rains, NO raincoat will keep you dry, but a lightweight one will protect you against the wind and hold in some heat.

I drove from Long Island a few years ago with my 2 daughters. They were 8 and 12 at the time. I agree with driving and taking a few days to do it.
That said, if I make it this year, we’ll be doing a crazy straight-through drive from the Aderondaks.

Hey Larry!
No… I was recovering from it that evening! I am 99.9% sure it was a church stand I ate at earlier that day – I should have known better – they had great signage, but were further off route than I normally go and I knew it wasn’t good as soon as I was done eating. I was the ONLY one there (anytime you’re the only one at a place on…[Read more]

I tried to eat lunch and dinner at local brick and mortar (non-chain) restaurants this year… it was great! The lines were rarely as long as the food trucks, it was cooler, the bathrooms were clean, the seats were comfortable….
If I ever do Ragbrai again (which, of course, I hope to!) that’s going to be go-to approach.

This was my 5th Ragbrai (over 10 years). It was the first one where I did NOT feel like the baggage truck riders were treated as 2nd class citizens. With the exception of Burlington, the shuttles were all great and the overnight towns seemed prepared.
A lot of crappy roads in the 2nd half of the week, but all in all… (despite my first Ragbrai…[Read more]

Can you post Carb counts?
I can or find them on your website.
Tim TenClay replied to the topic diabetic in the forum Miscellaneous 4 years, 11 months ago
A suitable diabetic diet is very doable. Just make sure you have enough experience under your belt managing your glucose, insuline and hydration in high heat and extensive sweating.

I use Genius electrolytes. What’s the carb count on ZipFizz? Does it taste decent?
I like Genius a lot, but I feel like they’re pricey and they use stevia (which I generally don’t care for, but in this case don’t mind… The real problem is that it makes my wife feel sick).
Tim TenClay replied to the topic Keto anyone? in the forum RAGBRAI XLVII – 2019 5 years, 2 months ago
Lol! I’m fortunate that, at this stage, an occasional carby beverage and a handful of carbs don’t automatically kick me out of ketosis any more… Ragbrai may push that to it’s limits!
Tim TenClay replied to the topic What's the "Official Campground" like? in the forum RAGBRAI XLVII – 2019 5 years, 2 months ago
I’ve only ever used the official campground. It’s easy and will use it again this year.
The only complaint I have is that it seems to be getting less and less important to the Register. Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems like the official campground is getting further away from the activities in town, with fewer resources. Meanwhile, charters seem…[Read more]

I don’t know where you’re from, but I rented a bike (2 summers ago) from: http://www.brothersbicycle.com in Sioux Center, IA.
He was AWESOME, and I can’t recommend him enough.

Has anyone done Ragbrai fully (or almost) in ketosis? I’ve done all my previous rides on carbs and am planning on riding on fat in 2019 (with a bit of liquid carbs on the side…)
Any observations? Thought? Experiences? Suggestions?

Hey! Greetings from Palermo, Italy.
It’s been a few years since I’ve ridden and I’m trying to get things worked out this year (since I’ll be back in the states AND in Iowa!) Can anyone give me a quick update on the probability of making or not making it in?
I know there’s always the possibility of buying a wristband from someone who get’s…[Read more]
