I have used the shuttle offered by both Brancel and Pork Bellys and neither require you to box your bike. They are well taken care of. I prefer Brancel but if it helps PBV has a shuttle that leaves the end on Friday rather than Saturday.
Sounds like a great idea. My sister has been suggesting a horse trailer for several years now. Prearranged camping spots are a good thing to think about as I know it is often tough coming into town looking for a good place to park a trailer.
Every year a group from the Register heads out to ride the route several months ahead of time. They go day by day over 7 days to be sure everything is going well with things like road repair, town planning, etc. I am just wondering when that will take place this year and if one needs an invitation to partake.
My group may not be available to camp with next year. Thinking of buying an enclosed trailer to take the group next year. Looking for pictures of trailer conversions used on RAGBRAI. How are bikes stored? Best way to arrange gear? etc…….Thanks.
