Never say never I guess but I too don’t see Carroll and DSM going back to back either.
Without any inside info at all, I have two route guesses. The first is:
Onawa, Avoca, Greenfield, Osceola, Knoxville, Ottumwa, Washington, Muscatine
My second guess is:
Glenwood, Clarinda, Mt. Ayr, Osceola, Knoxville, Ottumwa, Mt. Pleasant, Burlington
Just spitballing here:
Glenwood
Red Oak
Greenfield
Osceola
Knoxville
Ottumwa
Washington
Muscatine
I have no inside knowledge whatsoever Ken but my guess is very similar to yours. I bet you have 4 or 5 towns right in your guess. I’m hoping for Osceola. I’ve thought for years it would be a great overnight town. I hope you’re right.
Ah, sorry to hear that AP but I get it. You’ll still find Uncle Kraig on a few of the pages/sites you listed so hopefully we’ll see you all there too as well as next July of course!
If your bag was not picked up after the RAGBRAI baggage crew unloaded it, it would continue to sit right where it was unloaded until either: 1) you came and picked it up eventually 2) someone else picked it up 3) a town volunteer crew picked it up a day or two later 4) someone stole it a day or two later 5) someone turned it in to the local police department or 6) it is still sitting there. Good luck tracking it down.
Remember you can purchase one in Ames either at the RAGBRAI merchandise trailer on Tuesday afternoon/evening or at the RAGBRAI baggage truck on Wednesday morning.
I saw a post on FB just today (from RAGBRAI staff) that they are still mailing packets out. So, hang tight. And if worst comes to worst, you can always pick it up in Sioux City at the Expo. It all works out on RAGBRAI, it always does :)
There will be plenty of food, you can scratch this off your worry list. If we were to eat a whole town out of its entire food supply, we will no doubt be resorting to cannibalism in the next overnight town. So, be in shape and be ready. Only the strong will survive to Davenport :)

You won’t really be solo. Trust me, I ride solo too. You will be with 25,000 + of your closest friends……you just haven’t met them yet :) See you in a couple weeks!
Elizabeth – Credit cards, payment apps, etc all require, in one form or another, access to the wireless network to function. In many towns, even this years bigger towns, there will be thousands of riders concentrated in a tiny geographic area. So, even in a bigger town, access to the wireless network may be extremely limited where all the people are gathered. All that said, cash is king on RAGBRAI. You will see lots of large wads of cash during the week. Bring smaller bills too, not just a bunch of $100’s. See you in July.

You can purchase day passes at each overnight town at the RAGBRAI merchandise trailer. Additionally, you can purchase them every morning of the ride at the RAGBRAI baggage truck. Just check in advance where the trailer or baggage truck is on the town maps and get them there.
If you cant find a ride from a team, group, etc. the last I saw, Pork Belly Ventures still has spots open from DSM to Sioux City and back to DSM at the end of the ride for registered riders. Hop on their website and you can check it out. Good luck.

$8500 was the winning bid on his bike.

Gene –
You were a poet,
and you didn’t even know it.
Oh my,
So am I.

Haven’t received mine either. I would guess you and I both will get them sometime in the next 3 weeks :) If not, I’ll pick them up in Sioux City.
