Meet Matt Phippen on the podcast today. This Iowa native and longtime friend of RAGBRAI, has been hired as the new director of operations. It is obvious Phippen is passionate about continuing the legacy of RAGBRAI, and showcasing the great state of Iowa. As the director of operations Phippen will oversee the day-to-day logistics of RAGBRAI including route planning and logistics, town planning, and partner relationships with city, state and county officials, law enforcement, and medical personnel. Great conversation with Matt. He seems very committed, which is essential in his new position. Matt also displays excellent public speaking skills, very essential when making presentations to Iowa communities.
