1st time Ragbrai team from AZ. Registered with motorhome sag. What are the campground arrangements like for this event? Will power (30 or 50 amp service)be available overnight? Are generators allowed to run overnight if power is not available? Should we make our own campground arrangements or work within the Ragbrai organization? Are RV dump locations identified for overnight cities?
This will be my 10 th straight RAGBRAI. I grew up in Ft
Dodge and have moved out of state, but love coming back for RAGBRAI.
This being an election year i’m sure there will be a lot of free water along the route. My concern is the amount of empty bottles that are thrown along the road. My suggestion is a large cattle waterer that we can throw the empties in while riding by, and the people giving the water away be responsible to clean it up. How do others feel about this?
We are a first time mother and daughter team from NH. We are concerned with the large number of riders that there will not be adequate bathroom/ shower facilites available at the end of the day. We will have a sag van- are there inns or motels that are located at the lay over towns-or is that not feasible?
Your fears are real, but it’s all part of the experience.
Generally how many trucks are needed to sag people’s luggage? Is each truck color coded or noted in some way so that one only has to find that truck in order to get their luggage?
Most of these questions are answered on this web site at https://ragbrai.com/about/general-information/ if you have specific questions, please ask at the newbie chat today. Thanks TJ
It will be my first ragbrai, and coming all the way from Belgium!!!
Very excited and looking forward to it!
Will that “VIRGIN” tatoo that is applied to new riders legs wear off, or does it last until their next RAGBRI?
Don’t forget to check out the training blog on this website (click the Training tab above). I will be posting information throughout the season to help people, new and experienced alike, prepare themselves for the ride.
Oh, and by the way, the tatoos come off when you do your second one!
I have to say that for the past couple of hours i have been hooked by the impressive posts on this website. Keep up the wonderful work.
Not seeing anything about food. Are we on our own for that?
