Official Logo Released for RAGBRAI XXXVIII

Today, the official event logo for RAGBRAI XXXVIII is being launched and official apparel featuring the new marks is available for purchase on SHOP.RAGBRAI.ORG.

An iconic rooster is featured prominently on the event marks with a weathervane that includes a city and country landscape design and corn. Mark Marturello of The Des Moines Register, prominently known for his illustration designed the 2010 RAGBRAI logo. Marturello said, “I used a weathervane in the design as that is one of the objects that the riders will see that is truly ‘Iowa’ as they travel throughout the state on RAGBRAI. Having the arrow point from west to east indicates the direction the riders will take on their journey.”

The event marks introduce an array of rustic colors blended with the design. Riders are sure to relate to the event marks of the rooster, landscape and corn if they have experienced and enjoyed past rides.

RAGBRAI XXXVIII products currently available for purchase at SHOP.RAGBRAI.ORG include a long-sleeve T-shirt and sweatshirt. Additional apparel and gift items are scheduled to release in early 2010.

The classic RAGBRAI logo is also featured on a wool sweater jersey available for purchase at SHOP.RAGBRAI.ORG.
