Participant Packets are on Their Way!

With RAGBRAI XLVII just over a month away it’s time to get serious about the big ride! We have received a lot of questions about participant (wristband) packets and merchandise so we wanted to publish a shipping update for 2019, along with some reminders:


Last year we faced many abnormal obstacles during packaging and shipping, which delayed packet shipments. We are happy to say everything is going very smooth this year and we do not anticipate any delayed shipments.


As a reminder, we ship packets during the entire month of June and will wrap up all last minute registrations during the first week of July. If your friend received their packet and you haven’t received yours yet – as long as we’re in the month of June – no worries! Your packet will go out soon.

Once participant packets are shipped, you or your group leader will be sent a tracking number via email from our shipping software, Stamps.com.

If you / your group contact do not receive a shipping notification or the participant packet itself by the 2nd week of July, please contact the RAGBRAI Office: info@RAGBRAI.com


If you are in a group, your packet will be shipped to your group leader. You will need to arrange with them to receive your participant packet.

International riders who are not in groups based in the U.S. – you will need to pick up your participant packet at the RAGBRAI Expo in downtown Council Bluffs on Saturday, July 20.

For those who transferred wristbands – the wristband will ship to the original owner of the bands. It is up to you to arrange for shipping or in-person transfer from one participant to the other. The sale of ride credentials is a private transaction. However, a resold credential will not be valid unless it is officially transferred in the RAGBRAI office to the new owner before the event begins. For those who ordered merchandise – orders from our web store and registration merchandise are shipped separately. The reason you have not received your registration merchandise and your friends received their web store merchandise is that we ship web store orders immediately, whereas registration merchandise is shipped along with the participant packets. If you purchased merchandise during registration and registered with a group, your jersey/shorts/bibs will be sent to your group leader.
