RAGBRAI LII is set to make history with this year’s route. For the first time ever, we’re bringing 10,000 (plus) riders to the land of 10,000 lakes. Riders will cross state lines for fifteen miles into Minnesota on day two of the ride.

“For over five decades, we’ve explored every corner of Iowa. This year, we’re taking it to the next level riding into Minnesota.” said RAGBRAI Ride Director Matt Phippen. “It will be an unforgettable experience.”

In partnership with RAGBRAI, the Iowa Department of Transportation, Iowa State Patrol, Minnesota Department of Transportation, Jackson County Minnesota Sheriff’s Department, Jackson County Parks and Trails and Bicycle MN have all played a role in bringing RAGBRAI LII across state lines.

These organizations met with Phippen and Cycling Division Director Anne Lawrie this week to continue planning our historic visit and our “meeting town” stop for the Day Two, Brown Park. We will begin sharing details soon.

“We’re thrilled to welcome RAGBRAI to Minnesota for the first time!” said Michael Wojcik, Executive Director BikeMN. “This iconic ride is more than just a journey on two wheel’s – it’s a celebration of community, connection, and the joy of cycling. As we share in the spirit of RAGBRAI, we look forward to showcasing Minnesota’s hospitality, scenic beauty, and vibrant biking culture.”
