RAGBRAI cyclists could get a brief soak this morning near Oskaloosa, the National Weather Service reports.
Light rain could fall along the beginning portion of today’s route of the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa.
“It’s really just some light stuff out in southeast Iowa,” said Rob DeRoy, data program manager for the NWS in Des Moines. “It might actually feel good while you’re riding.”
A nice day of riding awaits cyclists, with highs in the mid- to upper-70s, DeRoy said. Any rain is forecast to fall by about 9 a.m. Wind gusts of up to 25 mph could challenge some, he cautioned.
