Riders indulge in state's top tenderloins
- 22 July, 2013
Hamlin – Mr. Porkchop had some competition today along the RAGBRAI route.
Hundreds of riders stopped at Darrell’s Place for cold beer and a famous breaded tenderloin.
The restaurant won the inaugural “best breaded pork tenderloin” award from the Iowa Pork Producers Association in 2003.
Darrell’s owner Jeff Munch prepared 1,200 tenderloins, 350 chicken sandwiches and 400 hamburgers for the RAGBRAI crowd.
