About the Roadshows!
Started in 2020, the RAGBRAI Roadshows were developed as a pop-up event series to showcase the bicycling trails across the state of Iowa and the local establishments that anchor them. The RAGBRAI team brings the mini-merchandise trailer, sets up shop, and goes on a bike ride along the trail stopping at local bars, breweries, and restaurants along the way.
The Schedule
This spring we are making four stops starting in Des Moines at Water Works Park and the RAGBRAI: Founder’s Statue and ending in Mineola, Iowa for the famed Thursday Taco Ride! Let’s train for the big ride together and have fun along the way.
RAGBRAI: Founder’s Statue Dedication at Water Works Park
Saturday, April 17 @ Water Works Park Des Moines (near the Lauridsen Amphitheater) from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

10:00 a.m. The Ride
Ahead of the ceremony head out on a bike ride with the RAGBRAI team and Tall Dogs Bike Club to Easter Lake via the Carl Voss and Mark C. Ackelson trails.

12:00 p.m. The Dedication Ceremony
Join us for a formal dedication of the RAGBRAI: Founder’s Statue that was installed in July 2020. We will honor RAGBRAI founder’s John Karras and Donald Kaul and the legacy they built 48 years ago.
1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Festivities
Stay for the fun following the ceremony. There will be food, drinks, entertainment, and vendors set-up in Water Works Park.
The Spacemen
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Lauridsen Amphitheater stage
Bringing Rock ‘n Roll classics and originals to the Midwest since 2014. These RAGBRAI favorites were influenced by AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, Slipknot, Metallica, and more this four-piece rock n’ roll band is comprised of 17-year olds who started playing together when they were in fifth grade. www.TheSpacemenOfficial.com
Sauk Rail Trail & Kerps Tavern
Saturday, April 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 24 at Sauk Rail Trail in Carroll, Iowa. The RAGBRAI Roadshow ride will set up at Kerps Tavern on East 5 St. near downtown Carroll. The ride will leave from Kerps Tavern at 1 p.m. (come early for lunch!) and return to Kerps Tavern by 5:00 p.m. for food, drinks, and live music!

We will head out on the Sauk Rail Trail towards Breda with stops in Maple River along the way before we head back to Kerps Tavern.

The RAGBRAI mini-merchandise trailer, friends of RAGBRAI, and the Sauk Rail Trail Association will be set up in the parking lot of Kerps Tavern for food, drinks, and live music!

Mississippi River Trail & Freight House Farmer’s Market
May 8th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Our RAGBRAI merchandise trailer will be set up on Saturday, May 8th at the Freight House Farmer’s Market in downtown Davenport. Our ride will take us along the Mississippi River Trail that morning before we head back to the farmer’s market to enjoy the vibrant marketplace of local producers, entrepreneurs, and community members.

Meet at the RAGBRAI mini-merchandise trailer at the farmer’s market. We will head out on the Mississippi River Trail going east, then back toward Credit Island before returning back to the Freight House Farmer’s Market where there will be a wide variety of food and beverages plus the RAGBRAI mini-merchandise trailer with exclusive deals on RAGBRAI merch.

8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. RAGBRAI at Freight House Farmer’s Market
RAGBRAI will be set-up at the Freight House Farmer’s Market from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Stop by and enjoy the local vendors and swing by our trailer for exclusive farmer’s market deals.
Wabash Trace Trail & Tobey Jack’s Steakhouse
May 20th from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Our RAGBRAI merchandise trailer will be set up on Thursday, May 20th across from Tobey Jack’s Steakhouse in Mineola, Iowa for the famed Thursday Taco Ride along the Wabash Trace Trail. We will blend in with the Taco Ride that night and ride from Council Bluffs to Mineola for the fun!

The RAGBRAI team will start at the trailhead in Council Bluffs at 5:00 p.m. and head towards Mineola. I’m sure there will be a stop at Margaritaville before hitting our final destination in Mineola.
