The Pork Tornadoes announced as headlining act for Emmetsburg RAGBRAI® overnight stop
The Emmetsburg RAGBRAI® Committee has announced the entertainment lineup for RAGBRAI’s overnight stop on Tuesday, July 26th.
The Pork Tornadoes, one of the most-requested RAGBRAI party bands, will take the stage as the headlining act at Soper Park from 8:00-11:00PM. The Pork Tornadoes are no strangers to RAGBRAI, having performed 5 times at overnight town parties, as well as performances at the Fall Ride, Route Announcement Party and 2020 Virtual Ride Concert. The band is known for putting a unique spin on all of your favorite pop/rock hits from the 1980s-today. Led by singer Mason Greve, who is known as “The Justin Timberlake of the Midwest” and was a finalist on a Not-To-Be-Mentioned National TV singing show in 2014, The Pork Tornadoes will blow you away with an electric mix of covers ranging from Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce, all the way to Lizzo, The Killers, Coolio and Phil Collins. Their debut EP peaked on the Apple iTunes Pop charts at #20 and has been streamed over a million times. Performing music that people of all ages and musical backgrounds can enjoy, this show promises to be one of the highest-attended overnight stops of the entire week.
Opening for The Pork Tornadoes, Birdchild will take the stage from 4:00-7:00 PM. Known as “Iowa’s Flyest Cover Band,” Birdchild will get you on your feet with nostalgic hits from your youth all the way to your favorites of today. With a set list designed to keep the crowd singing, you’ll realize quickly why they are among Iowa’s top party cover bands!
An evening in Emmetsburg wouldn’t be complete without a taste of Ireland. Riders and spectators will also be entertained by the musical stylings of the Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band of St. Paul, Minnesota during the RAGBRAI overnight visit on July 26th.
