Uber vehicles will have bike racks in Davenport
- 24 July, 2015

Uber rideshare service is jumping on the RAGBRAI wagon with special offerings in the Quad Cities and Des Moines this weekend.
The app-based taxi company will accommodate cyclists in the Quad Cities with UberPEDAL Saturday, just four days after launching UberX in the market.
The service, which is regularly available in Seattle, promises drivers on-demand in vehicles with bike racks (fitting up to two bikes at a time).
UberPEDAL will be available as a special option within the standard Uber app from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Quad Cities.
Uber plans to test a new food-delivery feature in the Des Moines market Friday. The trial will partner with Thelma’s Treats, delivering ice cream sandwiches to the doorsteps of Uber users.
Officials with Uber are calling it a RABGRAI promotion because of a special ice cream sandwich, pie a la mode, made for the occasion.
