Uphill prayers in Washta

Ruth Waite, a second-time rider from Greensboro, Ind., attached a sign to the back of her bike that read: “Having trouble on the hills? I can pray for you. I’m a licensed Methodist minister.”
The sign didn’t distinguish between hills that sloped up or down, but Waite said she got more requests about the former.
“Everybody passes me going up hill, so they have time to read it,” she said in Washta. “The sign was my sister’s idea, and it’s been kind of fun.”
