MY First year!! :)
I just hope that the large groups break up a bit this year. There was way too much drafting done in 2010 which made for some very unsafe situations.
I’m still excited about my first RAGBRAI last year. It still surprises me that riding 450 miles, sleeping in a tent, experiencing amazing thunderstorms(everything in my tent got wet that night), learning that Butt Butter works better if you use it before you do your first 100 miles (Oh, I wish I knew that. The next five days were painful).
All that said, Look for me this year. I cannot wait to do it again. I will be a proud MOORE-ON, from California.
My first year was 1976, since then a lot has changed on Ragbrai, back then 3 speed english racers where popular, no one wore helmets, there was no such thing as padded bike shorts, there was plenty of free food and I only brought $50.00 with me for the ride, however what hasn’t changed is Iowa, still the same hills, head winds, small town, apple pie and friendly people.
Hills Angels will be there

I got in line had my bike packed and shipped. I have no idea where it is and have no tracking number. Am I the only one that would do something like this without reference numbers.
How many different countries were represented at RAGBRAI 2011? I had read 31, but now that seems high. Anhyone know?
