Each month we will publish ten tips to help you prepare for RAGBRAI LIII. Among other things, December is a great month to make plans for the summer and reconnect with your team. Complete our Top 10 Tips in December and ensure you’re on route to ride RAGBRAI LIII.
Here are our Top 10 Tips to prepare for RAGBRAI LIII in December:
1. Sign up for RAGBRAI this month to get Early Bird pricing!
RAGBRAI LIII Registration prices increase on 1/1 so if you know you want to ride – no matter where the route will take us – this is the best time to sign up! More info and register here.
2. Get your tickets to the RAGBRAI Route Announcement Party! Registration is OPEN
Route Announcement Registration is live! This is the party where it all begins – we announce the eight overnight towns that will host us for RAGBRAI LIII. Just like Ride Registration, we will add a tab to RAGBRAI.com on November 15th and you will find all you need to know about joining us for the party!
This year we’ll also have live music, food, drink, and some cool swag. VIP add-on available.

3. Set up your indoor bike trainer for the winter!
Are you a Zwifter? Ride with us in the RAGBRAI LIII Club! Our next Zwift Meet-up Ride will be Monday, Dec. 8 and if you are a fellow Zwifter, YOU are invited! Murph and AP from the JustGoBike Podcast will lead this no-drop ride.

4. Add a little RAGBRAI to your holidays with our Holiday Ornaments!

7. Donate to your favorite charity.
There are so many wonderful non-profits to give to this season! This year the RAGBRAI Gives focus is on Iowa’s Community Bike Shops. All money raised in this initiative will be directed to 6 Community Bicycle Shops in Iowa: The Iowa City Bike Library, the Street Collective in Des Moines, Chain Reaction Bike Hub in Cedar Rapids, Cedar Valley Bicycle Collective in Waterloo, We-Cycle in Ames, and the Dubuque Bike Co-Op.
They may focus on free bicycles to unhoused folks (We-Cycle), infrastructure advocacy (Street Collective), or youth programming (Bike Library) – but all advance the common goal of making bicycles accessible to all.
8. Take advantage of seasonal sales to stock up on camping or cycling supplies that you might need.
